Lloyd’s Bridging Unit provides up to 100mm of movement. The Gas Seal maintains its integrity throughout this amount of travel and can be built directly into foundation blockwork.
This is the only product that maintains a Gas Seal, even after movement has occurred.
Alongside the obvious advantages of improved gas safety, it’s easy to use and will save time and money compared to traditional methods involving shuttering.

The Bridging Unit pipe protector with rodent-proof seals comprises various components, noteably two High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) semi-circular casings, with an inset of polyurethane foam and rubber seals at each end. PVC locator pins are used to secure the two semi-circular casings together to complete the outer sleeve.
Structural Performance - The product will accomodate structural movement for pipework that passes through substructure walls and provide protection from any vertical loads imposed from the wall through which it passes.
Resistance to Pressure - The product has sufficient flexibility to accommodate the lateral forces anticipated from the movement of the surrounding ground conditions.
Durability - The product is dimensionally stable under normal conditions of temperature and humidity. It is rodent and rot-proof, and resistant to weed and tree root penetration. |
